Observational documentary series set in the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, narrated by Lorraine Kelly. In this episode we meet six-year-old Matthew Curley who was born with a cleft lip and palate. He has already had numerous operations but he still struggles to speak clearly. Now thanks to the Children's Hospital he faces an operation that could transform his speech forever. In the hospital's A&E department Professor Simon Carley is dealing with five-year-old Maisy, who has the back of an earring embedded in her ear lobe, and four-year-old Nadeem who has a small green object stuck in his ear.
